Welcome To Oracle Hearing Center

Oracle Hearing Center is an audiology and hearing aid clinic with expert audiologists that provides hearing tests, tinnitus evaluations, auditory processing disorder evaluations, and professional hearing services in Lawrence Township, NJ.

We believe that each of us carries a light. Only when we align ourselves to our true selves, our values, maintain our health, engage our world through meaningful connection with better hearing… do we honor and shine that light within. Only then do we come home to ourselves. This is the magical part of our work at Oracle Hearing Center: watching that light shine bright through better hearing.

Welcome home.

Yasmin Battat, AuD

Doctor of Audiology

Yasmin Battat, Au.D. is an audiologist providing hearing aids, hearing tests, and professional hearing care in Lawrence Township, NJ.

“I remember seeing a child’s hearing aid being activated for the first time and how it left an impression on me.

“It was like a light switch, like the child was off and the next moment the child was on,” said Dr. Battat. “Her eyes lit up and she started smiling, but was unsure what was going on. There was fear and hope and all those emotions mixed together. That’s when I decided this is what I want to do.”

Originally from Long Island, New York, Dr. Battat obtained both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Hofstra University. At the tail end of her Master’s program, she took her first class in audiology and enjoyed it.

“I could diagnose and treat and see results immediately. As a person who values communication at the heart of relationships, I’m someone who wants to build on that and audiology is the starting point for that.”

After getting her Master’s in 2003, Dr. Battat pursued a higher level of training where she could attain more in-depth knowledge about her profession. She then enrolled in the Doctor of Audiology program at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, School of Audiometry, now known as Salus University. “Thanks to the in-depth knowledge of my doctoral-level training, I utilize best practices in my everyday private practice,” says Dr. Battat.

Since completing her Doctoral program, Dr. Battat has worked in a number of different settings, including ear, nose and throat, educational and private practice. She opened her own private practice in November 2019–Oracle Hearing Center in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.

Inspired by her first humanitarian trip in 2022, Dr. Battat is also part of a group called The Entheos Cooperative — a collective of hearing professionals committed to reconnecting with the larger purpose of their private practices — and has also opened a branch of a nonprofit called Hearing the Call Central Jersey, which provides audiology services to people who are income eligible.

Dr. Battat is also expanding on testing and treatment of Auditory Processing Disorder, which she believes will serve more people who have auditory disorders not related to hearing loss.

When she’s not practicing audiology. Dr. Battat plays volleyball, hikes, and takes her three children exploring throughout Central Jersey. She’s also an avid reader who admits she’s usually reading three to four books at a time.

“I feel blessed to be in the field of audiology,” she said. “Every day, seeing someone smile for the first time because they can hear again–it’s pure magic. To be able to live and to be fulfilled that way, to me, is a gift.”
